PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT MELALUI PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR (POC) DAN BOKASHI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRODUKTIVITAS LAHAN PEKARANGAN

Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum optimalnya pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan serta tingginya ketergantungan masyarakat pada pupuk kimia. Tujuan kegiatan adalah memberdayakan masyarakat melalui pelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik cair (POC) dan bokashi untuk meningkatkan produktivitas lahan pekarangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif melalui observasi awal, penyuluhan, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, pendampingan, serta evaluasi deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta tentang pupuk organik, peningkatan keterampilan membuat POC dan bokashi, pemanfaatan limbah organik rumah tangga dan peternakan, serta perbaikan pertumbuhan tanaman, kondisi tanah, dan hasil panen pekarangan. Wawancara juga menunjukkan motivasi peserta yang tinggi untuk melanjutkan praktik secara mandiri. Dengan demikian, pelatihan pembuatan POC dan bokashi efektif mendukung kemandirian masyarakat dan keberlanjutan pertanian pekarangan.
