OPTIMALISASI MINAT DAN BAKAT SISWA MELALUI EKSTRAKURIKULER PADUAN SUARA

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pengembangan minat dan bakat siswa melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, khususnya paduan suara, sebagai sarana pengembangan kemampuan musikal, sosial, dan emosional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan optimalisasi minat dan bakat siswa melalui ekstrakurikuler paduan suara di SMPN Satap 2 Soa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek guru pembina dan siswa yang dipilih secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara semiterstruktur, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan teknik vokal, rasa percaya diri, disiplin, kerja sama, serta motivasi belajar siswa. Keberhasilan program didukung oleh latihan yang teratur, peran aktif pembina, fasilitas yang memadai, dan dukungan orang tua. Disimpulkan bahwa ekstrakurikuler paduan suara efektif mengoptimalkan minat dan bakat siswa serta mendukung pembentukan karakter secara berkelanjutan. Program ini memberi ruang aktualisasi diri siswa dan memperkuat keterikatan mereka terhadap lingkungan sekolah.
