PERAN KEGIATAN EKSTRAKURIKULER PBM (PENGEMBANGAN BAKAT DAN MINAT) DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERMUSIK SISWA

Pembelajaran musik di sekolah menengah sering menghadapi keterbatasan waktu intrakurikuler, sehingga pengembangan kemampuan bermusik siswa memerlukan wadah tambahan yang lebih fleksibel. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peran kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Pengembangan Bakat Minat (PBM) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan bermusik siswa di SMA Negeri 2 Boawae. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek guru pembina seni budaya dan siswa peserta PBM. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan uji keabsahan menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PBM dilaksanakan secara terstruktur, rutin, dan aplikatif serta mampu meningkatkan kemampuan vokal, keterampilan memainkan alat musik, keberanian tampil, disiplin, kerja sama, tanggung jawab, dan rasa percaya diri siswa. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler PBM berperan strategis sebagai sarana pengembangan keterampilan bermusik dan pembentukan karakter siswa secara berkelanjutan.
