Abstract

Latar belakang: pembelajaran musik tidak hanya berfungsi mengembangkan keterampilan artistik, tetapi juga berpotensi membentuk kreativitas dan karakter siswa. Tujuan: penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran pembelajaran musik dalam pengembangan kreativitas dan pembentukan karakter siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Golewa. Metode: penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis secara tematik melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil: penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran musik mendorong kreativitas siswa melalui ekspresi diri, berpikir fleksibel, dan pemecahan masalah, serta membentuk karakter seperti disiplin, tanggung jawab, kerja sama, empati, dan percaya diri. Pembelajaran musik juga berdampak pada kehidupan sehari-hari siswa, meskipun masih menghadapi kendala fasilitas, waktu, dan minat yang beragam. Kesimpulan: pembelajaran musik berperan penting sebagai sarana pengembangan potensi dan karakter siswa secara holistik di sekolah. Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya dukungan sekolah melalui penyediaan sarana, penguatan strategi pembelajaran, dan optimalisasi kegiatan intrakurikuler maupun ekstrakurikuler berkelanjutan.
