Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pembelajaran seni musik dalam mengembangkan kemampuan musikal, karakter, dan prestasi belajar siswa, serta oleh potensi kegiatan ekstrakurikuler drumband sebagai sarana pendukung pembelajaran tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler drumband dan kontribusinya terhadap prestasi belajar seni musik siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru berperan sebagai pembimbing, motivator, fasilitator, dan pengelola latihan yang terstruktur. Kegiatan drumband terbukti mendukung perkembangan kemampuan musikal, disiplin, tanggung jawab, kerja sama, dan manajemen waktu siswa. Meskipun demikian, masih terdapat kendala berupa keterbatasan waktu, sarana, dan alat musik. Disimpulkan bahwa peran guru dalam ekstrakurikuler drumband berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar seni musik siswa.
