PENGENDALIAN KEBISINGAN MELALUI PENERAPAN PEREDAM BISING PADA PEKERJA INDUSTRI PAKAN TERNAK DI KARANGANYAR

Kebisingan merupakan salah satu faktor bahaya fisik yang berpotensi menimbulkan gangguan pendengaran, peningkatan tekanan darah, dan stres kerja pada pekerja industri. PT Wijaya Inti Nutrisi Giant Feed di Karanganyar memiliki lima mesin penggilingan pakan ternak yang menghasilkan tingkat kebisingan melebihi nilai ambang batas (NAB) sebesar 85 dB. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan mengendalikan paparan kebisingan serta meningkatkan perlindungan kesehatan pekerja melalui pemasangan peredam bising, pemeriksaan kesehatan, dan edukasi penggunaan alat pelindung pendengaran. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pemasangan peredam bising berbahan kombinasi limbah kain perca dan busa pada area mesin produksi, pemeriksaan fungsi pendengaran, tekanan darah, dan tingkat stres pekerja, serta sosialisasi penggunaan earmuff. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pengukuran tingkat kebisingan, pemeriksaan kesehatan pekerja, dan penilaian pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah edukasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pemasangan peredam bising mampu menurunkan intensitas kebisingan dari tingkat di atas NAB menjadi 70–75 dB. Pemeriksaan kesehatan menunjukkan 40% pekerja mengalami keluhan pendengaran, 32% mengalami tekanan darah tinggi, dan 20% mengalami stres kerja. Selain itu, pengetahuan pekerja tentang penggunaan earmuff meningkat, ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan kategori pengetahuan baik dari 10 menjadi 19 pekerja. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengendalian kebisingan dan kesadaran pekerja terhadap pentingnya perlindungan kesehatan akibat paparan bising di lingkungan kerja.
